Got nailed.

I left Food Lion this morning and a 2wd chevy truck with rims and duals was ahead of me. I eased up to his driver side and he sped up. I eased up on him again just as we were leaving the city limits and he nailed it. I followed suit. Well I think I screwd up by kicking it to the floor and hitting passing gear cause I swear it feels as if I dont go like I should when I kick itdown. Anyway, got back up with the dude and we took off again and I got bit again. I stopped him and we talked and he said he was stock except for rims and exhaust. I couldnt do anything with him from a roll or from dead stop. Oh well, chalk one up for the other guys.

he was BS'ing. he was definetly moded. i hate when people do that when you make converstion with them after racing them. it doesnt matter who wins or looses (ok maybe it does ) but it is also nice to know what you got beat by (so you know how to beat him next time too). ive personally out run many two wheel trucks and im a stock 6.0 4x4 CC SRW LB. i have the same thing happen to me when i race someone on my quad and it takes something a little more than stock to out run my quad in a drag race and so when someone does beat me ill ask what mods have they done just to make conver. and they say oh nothing its still stock or maybe i get oh its just jetted and has aftermarket pipe (like i cant already see that). its like why be and a@# its all in good fun anyway ya know? anyway just had to vent -i know how you feel.

He couldn't have been stock - with your mods there is NO way a stock Chevy gasser has a prayer man.

Yeah - he was BS'ing you. You would have walked his azz if he were stock, trust me. I posted somewhere around here about a kid I raced the other day. I knocked my Bully Dog into stock by accident and stalled for a sec but when I caught up with him at the next light I asked if he wanted to go, he said yes and I ate his lunch. I could have beat him in the Performance mode but I used the Extreme just to prove a point.

What year was it sea? If it was older it was definately modded, and if it was newer it is unlikely but maybe it had the 8.1 in it. Something like 345hp and 400tq. There's also a few roush chevy trucks running around here that have a supercharger stock on a 5.2 and those things blaaaaazzeee. Anyway last night I tried getting a 1500 2wd chevy to race me for about 10 minutes. We had several redlights side by side and I kept looking over while budging the truck forward lol... I launched 2 times and would put about 100 feet between us before realizing he wouldn't give it a try, I'd then slow, and ride right next to him. Not sure why he didn't want to race? o well...
