Obs vs VW 1.8t Jetta

So pulled up to a light in the middle of town the other day it's 2 lane for about an 1/8th mile after the light and somebody always try's to go around everyone and get in front so there I sit and I hear a fart can exhaust followed by the loud whoosh of a waste gate it was a late 90s early 2000 Jetta 1.8 t kid was maybe 16 or 17 it had stick on vents on the fenders and enough chrome to make ya sick and he sits there reving it keeps hitting the rev limiter and letting off so the light turns green and I pull out normally I get Maybe 5 ft from the light and I hear tires squealing and the loud fart can so I nail it he stayed at my rear wheel until the boost hit then I pulled about a truck length on him and let off he then got in behind me I pulled in to the gas station up the road to fill up he pulls in behind me gets out and comes up to me and says DUDE WHAT DO U HAVE IN THAT THING YOUR TURBO IS SO LOUD!!!! Haha I thought it was funny

It's an unwritten rule;
when someone comes up on the right at those intersections it is your duty to put them in their place.
Glad you could take him

That's awesome, least he was good with loosing. It really pisses me off when people pull up beside of you knowing their lane is ending. Like getting in front of one vehicle will get you there faster.

Nice! Thought the 1.8t's were quicker than that. My brother has one with a bigger turbo so I'll have to match em up ha

I own a passat with the 1.8T, they are not fast. They only made like 150-180ish depending on setup. Then once you mod, you find out the engine is weak.

I know my truck is stock and it pulls harder to like 60ish than my car, but like a truck it dies lol.

I love my passat, it run good, great mpg and handles good. and I fit in it lol.

I'm guilty of that. It's like you're unofficially racing the person next to you.
