The Excursion kills a 5.3 Silverado

So the other day I was at a stop light and this other guy with his 02-03 Chevy Silverado 1500 2wd with a 5.3 decided to rev it up. I was like ok we will see what he's got. I put it in the 140 aggressive tune (should have used the 120 race tune). I didn't power brake it and waited until I was sure he was gonna put his truck to the floor. Once I seen him put it all the way to the floor I punched it. We were even until about 35 then I pulled nearly a truck from 35-55mph and his engine was just screaming. Next stop light he was like 6.0 or 7.3 I was like 7.3. He said well let me get rid of the stuff in the bed (haha two pieces of 2x4 wood). I was like ok, I weigh in at 8300lbs and can take off my winch to lol.

lmao the 327 is a good motor in its own rights but... not for a race truck. I have a 305 silverado work truck that isnt real fast but it does get good mileage and as I used to drive it about 4k a week... that was good enough for me. but i sure as HELL would not have tried to race anybody...ever... even WITHOUT the 2x4's in the bed

Yeah he wanted to go again after removing the 2x4's lol. Now I drag race mustangs on a weekly basis and there is no way those 2x4's are gonna make a difference lol. Wish I already had injectors and a nice t4 turbo then he woulda cried.

DP-Tuner tunes were used. I love the tunes. Great and smooth power.

That's a heck of a lot of oil changes over a year.

Nice kill

PIS 175/80's, Van Turbo with EBPV, BD Billet Wheel
Lots of money spent at RiffRaff
Holley fuel pump, in tank mods, crappy riding leveling kit, DP-F6, 5 Gauges+Edge CS in dash, CB radio in Dash, over 100 goofy little mods
Still pretty slow, just less slow now.
