GOT MY A$$ KICKED!!!!!

Well I'm on my way home for lunch today, when this black D max pulls in front of me and roals some coal, so instead of turning right onto my street, I pulled the old "OH NO HE DI NT" LOL and pulled in behind him. So anyway were in traffic, but I"m following anyway, and he rev's at me again. So I pull up next to him signal him to roll down his window. I say "Don't keep revin at me in traffic, lets turn around and run em" He agrees. So he drops in behind me, I get into a turn left lane that goes to a empty street by my house, Seemed like the like took forever to change, all the while I'm sitting there having a feeling that as much coal as this guy rolls just from a rev, I might be in trouble here, but I'm sure not gonna tuck my tail between my legs and run when someone tries to pick on me, especially a chevy! Well the light finally changes, we both turn left, I slow for him to get next to me and we both punch it. He pulls an unfortunate 2 trucks on me. DAMN..... So I pull up next to him, tell him let's do it from a dig. So we both stop, biuld the boost, I said go... knowing I went way to high, but went anyways, he takes off, I sit there in a mixture of my own tire smoke, and his coal, and even when I did hook, he was still pulling on me. So I pull back up next to him, chatted briefly. He's PPE tuned, with all the normal bolt on's and tranny work. I asked him if he dynoed, he said "no". I told him I'm puttin down 400 so he's well above that. He was cool, ****y from the win (as he should be), but cool.

Sorry guys, at least I didn't back down.

By the way, I was runnin my X treme street.

Great that he was cool about it. It's good when people aren't sore losers and sore winners. Glad you had a lil fun with no major problems

Don't feel bad... PPE and EFI are the SCT of the Dmax world.

I've got a buddy running a built tranny and PPE lvl 6 running mid 12's on fuel only

Plus you've got bigger tires so that doesn't help! Additionally did you launch the 2nd time in 4wd?

If I had to guess, he was probably pushing a mid the high 400's. I would of stayed with him longer if I wouldn't of overboosted my launch, but he still would of beat me. I did launch in 2 wheel drive. I was worried about not having all my power during the course of the run, rather than tire spin. I usually launch pretty good, but he was the better man and truck today. Still ruins your day though LOL

Those D-Max's are pretty fast rides...even stock..so modded they can get some power...but they cost a ton $$$$$ to mod.
