Jaguar busted my a** last night

So last night me and my wife decided to go to Applebees and on the way we got stopped by a red light. Then what looked to be possibly a 90s model or early 2000 jaguar pulled up next to us. There wasnt another set of headlights in sight so i thought ok, this will be fun, its been awhile. I have a sct tuner but i havent gotten any custom tunes yet, so its just tuned on the street tune. Well the light turns green and were off. He actually got the jump on me alittle but i thought i could catch him. I started gaining ground for a second and then i heard his passing gear or transmission kick down twice and that SOB was gone. All i could think of is how in the hell did that land yacht just beat me. We turned off at the next light and i gave him a thumbs up even though he just beat me and smiled. I think its time for some custom tunes, i thought that the street tune was perfect for my for daily driving and playing around, but after that im going to have to find someone with some good custom tunes.... I guess you cant win them all...

Good show on the sportsmanship.
No smoking him out, no flipping him off, no ricer fly by.
I like your style.

PIS 175/80's, Van Turbo with EBPV, BD Billet Wheel
Lots of money spent at RiffRaff
Holley fuel pump, in tank mods, crappy riding leveling kit, DP-F6, 5 Gauges+Edge CS in dash, CB radio in Dash, over 100 goofy little mods
Still pretty slow, just less slow now.

I realize this is an old thread but, if the jag was an XJR you're looking at 370 hp, supercharged in a rather light bodied jag. I had a 99 XJR some years ago, and that sucker loved to run. I'm not certain that even a well tuned 6-liter would beat it.

Yeah those supercharged Jags have some power to them. And they are still making power as we're running out of steam. They aren't race cars but they do a pretty good impression of them.
