There were two F150 stacked at the light in the right lane. I was in the left lane beside of them. They were the typical good 'ol boys with the straight duals out the back with the Flowmaster stickers all over it. You know the type. Not saying it is a bad thing, I have been there before as well as a few of our members I am sure. But at least they were in a Ford. Well, we were at the stop light and one of them looked over and was kind of grinning a little. I knew what was coming. Well, the light changed and we were off, oh did I tell ya that I had my TS at the 100hp setting. Well, I did. They got a real good look at some black smoke. I wasn't wanting to beat them real bad because I just needed to get in front so I could turn a little ways up the road. Once I was in 3rd gear, they backed off. This is where it gets fun. I still heard a loud gasser set of duals, and they were pretty loud. I look in my rear view and there in a cloud of black smoke was a pretty good looking 70 or 71 mustang. He had the cowel hood with pins, big ol tach, the works. A pretty good looking pony. Well I noticed that he was wanting to get on it too. So I layed it down. I was pulling away from him, and then I realized that my turn was coming up. So I switched lanes to make my turn, and the guy started to come by me. We looked at each other and he had a big ol grin on his face. A look of bewilderment and disbelief. I just gave him a big ol smile and made my turn. Now I am sure his car was alot faster than my little ol PSD, and maybe he was backing off because he could not see anything. But, it made me feel pretty good. This is not really a Kill Story (other than the 150), its a feel good story, but hope you liked it anyway.
I take this Mustang abuse kinda seriously! That's my 2001 Bullitt Mustang time slip from Wednesday. I was in the left lane. Wanna race? And yes, it's a street car with full exhaust. You just never know what your going to tangle with. When you're doing 106 mph in 1/8th of a mile, come talk to me. I'd say you got VERY lucky this time.

Here is what my stangs look like from the front in case you don't see that view after the light turns green...

Just harrassing you dude... I "smoke" ricers all the time with my PSD.

The power adder is a Vortech T-Trim. There are a few other "minor" modifications too. I actually have a site for it. Bullitt 5094 Site

That is really nice. It looks like a sleeper with the bullitt wheels on it! I bet you've surprised many a wannabe eh? I know my friend would be jealous. He just sold his '00 GT a few months ago. He had all kinds of stuff on it, suspension upgrades, and just about every bolt-on you can get other than a charger. But he wants a house, and it had to go....

By the way, you should update the ET's on the Performance page.....still reads 10.9!

Ohm there no doubt that he could have wasted me. All I was saying was that I think he was very surprised that my trucker was faster than what he was thinking it was. I know when to pick my fights, and that day it was with some 150s, not a pony that had a bunch of work done to it. I am a little smarter than that.

Nah, I'd characterize it as lucky. Almost all V8 stangs in any sort of decent condition will run low 14s/high 13s. Our trucks, in anything close to stock condition, won't. Now, you MAY (note the caps!) actually get ahead of one until the HUGE air resistance catches up with you at about 30mph, but if you "outrun" a Mustang GT or a Z28/SS Camaro, they probably didn't realize you were racing or thought you blew-up your motor when all that smoke came out of the tailpipe and backed-off so they didn't oil all over the car. Yes, I know this is blasphemy on this site, but hey, let's be realistic here... I don't want to start problems so if anyone wants to flame me. Feel free. This is just my somewhat educated opinion.

Bullitt i'm right there with you man. I ran around for about 3 years every weekend in my buddy's mustang and there were a lot of times that people went when we didn't......all of a sudden our obvious faster car gets called a loser. Some people are stupid..... Also his car ran a best of 13.8 with all of his mods, but he never could get a good launch on tuesday street legals....they don't prep the track those nights. I always told him to go on a sunday, when they do but what do I know?
