i think if you ask people here...there is a difference in an actuall...money spent right drag car, front wheel drive, honda, toyota, rear wheel drive, true muscle car...doesnt matter...ITS the "ricers" we all hate. These guys throw a cold air intake and a coffee can for a muffler on and think they have race cars, maybe a wing on the back that wont ever do anything for them....i wouldnt call it honda haters...just wannabe haters..

I dont think everyone here s Honda. They make one of the best cars out there and there is a boat load of stuff you can do to them. But, I think alot of the guys on here all the :censord: that buy half a body kit, primer their hood, throw an AutoZone pipe on there that makes it sound like a weedeater, and they think that their Honda can out-run anything on the street. I have a lot of respect for a well put together car (any type). But I think alot of it has to do with the "better than thou" attitude that alot of them have because they drive a Honda...

First, I'll give some of the "rice burners" credit. The honest motorheads fixing up these cars do a pretty good job, considering my motorhead days were relatively easy...buying a used 440 six pack Demon, doing some MINOR tweaks, and getting her into the 11's. However, many of the rice burners we see are just a hot exhaust on a lowered, underpowered POS. Back in my day, it wasn't much different. Some guys would buy something like a Chevelle with a 307, throw a set of Hush Thrushes on it, a set of Cragars, and they thought they had a race car....NOT.

Ok, now that everything's in context, I had my first go-around with a rice burner yesterday. We're going through a school zone, so I'm doing about 21 or 22mph. One of those rice-burners is on my rear bumper so close he's wearing down my wax coat. We get out of the school zone and on to a three lane road with street lights. We pull up to the street light, and he pulls next to me. It turns green, and we both throttle it. I walk away from the kid and his buddies easily. We get up to the next light, and I roll down my window. I yell over to his buddy, "if you guys want, we can throw your car in my bed so you get there faster!". The driver flips me off and makes an illegal left turn. Now, that was satisfaction!

Oh, did I mention that I love my PSD???

In this entire thread nobody felt the need to make a politically correct statement about street racing. God I love this place!

Smokin duals

Well, it wasn't a ricer but i smoked him anyway! It was a camero, big drag tires on back, small front tires. I was on my maiden voyage after instlling my quad/xzilliraider and we met at the light. He was revin his stuff so i stood on the brake and when i thought the light was about to change, i stood on the wood! The 6.0 wound up, i let off the brakes, smoked the dualls, made a big ol smoke cloud and then i launched! He caught me when i let off at 55 mph (speed limit) and he looked at me like "WTF"! I gave him a and a wink and left it at that. WAY kool! I was grinnin from ear to ear! He looked at me like "holy .beepbeepbeepbeep." and that was the best part.
So following the install, all was good. The install was a MF and I don't recommend it to anyone with big forarms. The ICP sansor kicked my butt cause I could hardly get my arm up in there to reach it. Other than that, it was a piece of cake. The EGT tap was easy and the second hardest part of the whole deal. I do suggest when installing this for the first time, you don't drink too much beer and you don't let the wife in your shop while you are doing it.

Clay thats a pretty good story. I have one that is pretty close to that that happened yesterday. I was coming up one of the four lanes through town. It has several stop lights. There were two F150 stacked at the light in the right lane. I was in the left lane beside of them. They were the typical good 'ol boys with the straight duals out the back with the Flowmaster stickers all over it. You know the type. Not saying it is a bad thing, I have been there before as well as a few of our members I am sure. But at least they were in a Ford. Well, we were at the stop light and one of them looked over and was kind of grinning a little. I knew what was coming. Well, the light changed and we were off, oh did I tell ya that I had my TS at the 100hp setting. Well, I did. They got a real good look at some black smoke. I wasn't wanting to beat them real bad because I just needed to get in front so I could turn a little ways up the road. Once I was in 3rd gear, they backed off. This is where it gets fun. I still heard a loud gasser set of duals, and they were pretty loud. I look in my rear view and there in a cloud of black smoke was a pretty good looking 70 or 71 mustang. He had the cowel hood with pins, big ol tach, the works. A pretty good looking pony. Well I noticed that he was wanting to get on it too. So I layed it down. I was pulling away from him, and then I realized that my turn was coming up. So I switched lanes to make my turn, and the guy started to come by me. We looked at each other and he had a big ol grin on his face. A look of bewilderment and disbelief. I just gave him a big ol smile and made my turn. Now I am sure his car was alot faster than my little ol PSD, and maybe he was backing off because he could not see anything. But, it made me feel pretty good. This is not really a Kill Story (other than the 150), its a feel good story, but hope you liked it anyway.
