A kill that should not have been!

Ok,so I seriously ticked a dude off the other day.
Scenario: it's wet, sitting at a red light. I hear this sweet noise beside me and look and there is an 03-04 cobra. (At least it had cobra badges but it was def a v8). I was like I wonder how close I can stick to him? So I rev it up and nod. He starts revving, so I spool up and the light turns. LOL he sat there and spun out! My all terrains hooked up and I shot off! I had about five lengths before he roared past me and flipped the bird. that so should not have been!

P.S. I fully understand that if he had of had an ounce more of driving sense and not hit it so hard where his street slicks broke lose on wet pavement I so would have been crushed! I was not expecting to win at all, i simply wanted to see how close I could follow him.

Anyway, just thought I'd share. I thought it was funny.

My theory is, if you lose... you lose! I don't care what "should have" been... you messed up, it cost you a race.

I did that once thinking im in 4x4 and spool real hard next to a new camaro SS that clearly had stuff done to it... He shot off the line while I proceeded to burn my rear tires like bacon LOL

It didn't go into 4x4
I chalked it up as a major LOSS

Aw man! That sux! I have never done a boosted 4x4 run. I have manual hubs so red light to red light is kinda hard to do that....

Yeah I won because I knew it was wet, I spooled yes,but I didn't absolutely punch it.

What do y'all think? My buddy has a 2004 Monte Carlo SS n/a 3800. He believes I could pull on him from the start, in a red light to red light deal. He knows I could hold no chance on the interstate. I'm inclined to agree with him. What think ye?

I would agree with him... Not that I wouldn't still run him

But, yeah highway... a 7.3 with light mods... probably not happening
(not dogging on 7.3s... even a lightly modded 6oh is still hard to push down the highway)

Good stuff!! I say ya got him fair and square. I personally have taken down a few stangs at the track, some of which I probably shouldn't have beat, but it's not my problem they more worried about loosing to me and didn't hookup properly.

That's what I was thinking.... I know I could have taken his Y body camaro before he went flying into a pine tree in it, but this Monte Carlo admit tingly is pretty stout. I felt honored when he told me that he had to go about 3/4 throttle in his 86 c4 400hp vette to keep up with me getting on the interstate!
