Got it handed to me...

02 7.3 , upgrades , well of course , fastest diesel in town ....ummmm NO. Anyway toodling home today after seeing Jack Reacher and notice a 6.4 in the left lane trying to catch up right before we come upon our right hand turn. I throw the blinker on and he jumps from the far left to the far right turn lane with me. 1st indication.....
The next 2 miles of road is two lane stop lights/signs spaced 1/8 mile or so and we happen to be side by side at the second. He romps on it when leaving that light a little bit just to say hello and let me know he wanted to run i guess......2nd indication
Could see he had a small something mounted on the pillar but dont know what it was. We pull to the 4th stop sign side by side again , and well.....i am a guy , its on. We left the stop sign non boosted and were side by side till second gear and then he pulled ahead pretty quick and made a right hand turn .....into THE HIGH SCHOOL PARKING LOT.

So moral of the story , i got hosed in a 7.3 by a teenybopper in a 6.4 that is most likely paid for by Mom and Dad. I thought for 2 seconds about feeling bad about getting beat on then remembered , i have a nice 7.3 with a new motor , its paid for , we work from home , and were at a 12:30 matinee movie on a Thursday after some morning shopping. Sometimes you just have to know when to cut your losses i guess. I did get home to a nice set of smoked recon cab lights waiting on the door step via FedEx though

Nothing for nothing but those 6.4s with a little bit of work are quick trucks. IF i ever decide to get rid of my 7.3 at some point down the road, that would be the next truck I would want

Jack Reacher is a great movie! And a 6.4 is a serious force to be fought. Good story though
