04 Duramax destroyed me?
Ok so I have this friend with an 04 duramax with a bully dog tuner that likes to talk about how fast he is. I have a studded deleted 06 6.0 running Vivians Looney tune.
So we are at a red light. It is quite icy outside so i didnt expect either of us to get traction, especially him as i have brand new tires and his are quite bald. neither of us did a boosted launch. by the time my turbo spolled up he was like 4-5 trucks ahead of me?? After we finished the race we went back to the shop and started boozing and let me say the smack he was saying. EG. my bully dog eat your "custom tune". This did not make me that happy. I told him i insist on a rematch when we have dry pavment but even then i dont know... |

Screw that Duramax your 6.0 will beat it on dry pavement.
![]() Realistically though, give it another go. Maybe you should practice up before hand; that always helps me. |

How about getting Vivian's looney wild tune since its for a studded truck and the looney is for non studded trucks therefore not as powerful. I guarantee him I'd eat that Chevy and chit a dodge with mine and the tune I'm running from Vivian.

dont blow over the dmax, they are fast trucks. not trying to bust your bubble. but im not suprised. my buddy used to beat me in his 05 dmax with a diablo tuner. they are lighter and make power easier being a cr

I know the duraturd is a fast truck but I guarantee I would eat that Chebby.

i dont doubt you would. custom tuned 6.0 with head stud tune should eat up a dmax with a canned tune. but if he has efi live then watch out haha

That's not all I have done.

then it shoudl be a good race. or you can just wait till he goes to take off and sit there for when his tie rods snap. so you should win either way

I would think that you should take him. I raced on EX cab short box that was running a stacked bully dog when I still had my Edge Juice and I stayed a couple truck lengths ahead the whole time.
