Camaro V-6

I was sitting at a red light around 6:30 one evening when next to me was a new Camaro,I could tell it was a V-6 by the Idle. Well I was checking it out because I like the looks of them when the light turned green he bolted and I thought what the hell ,I've been thumped before,well he jumped out about three lenghts so I put the chip on 100hp and quickly caught him and then passed him all within a mile.Sure thought they were stronger.

I had a four banger that beat most v6 vehicles cuz they have a bigger engine/bigger (heavier) car too

I have outran a few of the new v6 camaros, they are decent on top end but from a slow roll they not so much...

I just did some research on the V-6 Camaros,they average 14.40 to 14.50 in the quarter mile.I was just wondering what our 97 OBS trucks HP rating is?

Well I did some more research and this is what I came up with:
The factory horsepower rating of a 1997 F-350 Ford Powerstroke 7.3L turbo diesel is around 250 and maxes out at 275. The 7.3L has 500 ft/lb torque stock! Ad a 4" exhasut system,CAI intake and a 100hp PHP and I maybe have 300 hp at the rear,about what the camaro starts out with.

looks like no ones said anything yet so ill say something, the OBS has 215 stock 94 1/2 to 96, the 97s have 225. so at the wheels 180ish. chip intake and exhaust puts you at around 250 max at the wheels. you need bigger injectors to go over 300 horse in these. im not sure about the torque rating though, i think its 450 but i could be wrong

I know there are alot of differences between the OBS 7.3s and the newer ones but my 02 just made 347hp/797 ft lbs with the same mods as your so you might be close to 300

Well we had a dyno day at the track and while everyone was bringing Camaros,Mustangs and Vettes,I brought my truck after several hours of waiting in the heat I was called on,the pulls were made on a Westech performance superflow,.We began by rolling into throttle at 45mph ,the best time was between 2300 and 3100 rpms, but we came up with 303 at the rear on the 100HP setting.I can live with that.There was another truck there a F-250 with exhaust, intake and chip with larger injectors and it ran 337.
