6.4l vs Mazda Miata - Wasnt even fair...

Just thought I would share a funny moment that I had last night. My buddies bachelor party was yesterday and after shooting trap all afternoon, then going to the Great Lakes Brew Pub for dinner, we stopped by my house to drop some people off before hitting the bars. I had volunteered to drive because of the ability to haul six guys, and was sober since I was the DD. The other 5 guys in my truck were not... Anyway, we pull out of my driveway and get about two blocks were we are sitting at a traffic light. Up besides me pulls a nice little Miata with a guy and his VERY attractive date. Now as I mentioned I had 5 intoxicated guys in the truck, and a hot chick next to us. So of course they started hooting and hollering at her and she was grinning from ear to ear. Old boy wasnt so happy and as soon as the light turned green he floored it. GAME ON! I stomped it, and I'm running a Spartan 275 tune. The half car length he had on me because I didnt know this was a race, became me ahead by 3 car lengths in about 6 seconds. I slowed way down afterwards, but so did he trying to not stop by us again at the next light. He wasnt so lucky... We razzed him this time about everything under the sun, when this light turned green... he turned left. lol Not even a fair fight really, but I was loaded down with 300 pounds of drywall scrap in the bed and 1200lbs worth of dudes in the cab. Just thought you all would get a kick out of it.

HaHa, nice....but I once owned a miata..... a actual monster miata.. which was a miata with a transplanted 5.0 motor and tranny, rear end and a few mods, like headers, intake and tuning.... was a beast of a little car, boy how I miss that sleeper...
