Chipped 7.3 against a ecoboost

Will a chipped and intake equipped 7.3 beat a loaded out stock 4x4 Ecoboost? Got a son that I want to put in his place.

I dont think so....i have a 7.3 with tunes, exhaust and intake and i cant beat my other halfs Edge, and its not even an Ecoboost motor. I have heard those new Ecoboost trucks are fast.

Just an intake and electronics, the EcoBoost F150 has the power-to-wieght advantage big time. Couldn't call it much of a match.

The stock EcoBoost is pulling 365HP/420TQ out of the factory, and a curb weight of ~5500-5800#, with a 6sp transmission. I've test drove 2 when the wife was looking for a newer truck. Those trucks are the best 1/2 ton powertrain I've ever seen, even though its only a V-6. The old 7.3L was of a different era and even if you get close to the power on the 7.3L, the weight and transmission will lose out to the new truck.

Yeah they're faster than a 6.0 with an sct/exhaust/intake/ficm tune. Surprised me.

I'll find out this weekend! Buddy has one, he raced another buddy's 11' 1500 hemi and beat him by about 2 lengths in a 1/4. I raced the same hemi and spanked him too( I witnessed both races) I think he might get me the ecoboosts fly

I was damn surprised at how quick that ecoboost is. . ..

my buddy was on my bumper. . .i didnt expect it and was on mild tune. he wouldnt line up again when I turned up the tune.
