late 90's cummins ext cab lng box

so i was driving home from work, just cruising had my window down having a dart, stop at a set of lights, truck beside me I'd say late 90's ext cab lng box dodge with the cummins decal on the back, decides to "roll coal" like a jack *** right down the side of my truck, and i had my window open. Got up to the next set of lights right beside him, give him the 1 finger solute, winds down his window started talking **** about ford and how slow and ****ty the 6.0 is, so its on. first time I've really boost launched my truck in 4 wheel and second gear (just pulled a truck out of the mud in my work yard so hubs where still locked). I donno who was more shocked when i launched, him or me. truck hooked like a monster bounced my head off the seat lol, left him rollin coal looking like a donkey, put 1 length on him by the time i was through the intersection grabbed 3rd and kept pulling on him had a good 5-6 truck lengths on him when i let out at 90km . As i pulled off the highway i got the obligatory coal roll and salute back, but it put a smile on my face. He was a younger guy, can't really call him a kid seeing as I'm 24, none the less was happy to cook him with nothing more than a slight puff of black.

Awesome kill! I hate that mentality of blowing smoke all over the place. I had a second gen dodge maybe a 2001 6spd, pull in front of me and of coarse he up shifted to lower his rpms and blew the soot, what a loser.
Anyway great job.

I was just going to dinner tonight and turned right onto a street and coming down the road was a mid 2000's dodge dually with stacks and he blew smoke all over me as I drove by him. He was an older guy to.

ya i can only imagine, i was pretty impressed with my truck, not going to lie. I have done a couple "boosted" launches in the mud and dirt, but usually only 4-6 lbs of boost. had it up to about 12 on this launch, a quick chirp then just hooked. i am kinda weary of doing it to often as it seems like a great way to lose a clutch and on pavement who knows what else would blow out, and i need/use my truck for work all the time, so down time isn't really an option. but that being said I'm not one to back down from a challenge.

sounds like you know how to bang gears, its hard to launch a manual. the 24valves are practically obsolete now, i never see them outrunning 6.0s, and i dont even see them try with 6.4s. its like no one knows how to mod them to actually make power instead of soot.....
