06 Cummins

Well my brother in law got an 06 cummins 4 door short bed 4" straight exhaust, edge programmer and intake, stick shift, 35 inch tires. my mods are in my sig. we have been talking for the last year about lining them up and going at it so we finally did it tonight, off the line i beat him every time but when we start off from a roll at about 40 mph or over he beats me every time so my question is what mod do i need to do next so i will be able to beat him on both. i know alot of it is my larger tire size compared to his and the auto vs stick but what does everyone suggest for my next mod?

I don't know enough about 7.3s to give you any useful advice, but I will say that probably the only reason you beat him off the line is becasue you have an automatic. Having stick makes it harder to launch, but it does give him the advantage from a roll. Thos common rail cummins have quite a bit of potential.

injectors and turbo, the 5.9 ho is mean. I'd always hang near the exhaust on them before the injectors. now with current setup I can run about 4 truck lengths in front with the stock turbo, can't wait to see what happens when the turbo gets installed
