ecoboost got smoked!

alright guys, so some of the warrant officers were talkin smack about eachothers trucks a couple months ago, (2011 ecoboost ccsb 2wd, 2009 tundra crew cab with a 4.7, and a dodge ccsb 1500 hemi 4x4) talkin about power, interior room, towing, mileage, blah blah blah. Anyways I happened to be walking past them and since I like to instigate things, I said dont worry yall, my old ford has better...all of the above. So then they were saying mines probably a gas hog, or isnt very quick since its a diesel and its lifted. So I went on to say $100 bucks says none of your trucks stands a chance if I can get traction.

Anyways nothing happened for a while with the holidays, training and work but yesterday the one with the ecoboost was wondering if I could really take him since his truck is pretty quick. I said theres only one way to find out and we both had inspections to get done so he said he wanted to take a ride tomorrow. So since I was being c0cky I wanted to see if anyone else had played with an ecoboost before I looked like an idiot. So I took him for a ride and he was laughing that a big truck could move like this but he still thought his truck was quicker. So I took him back to the parking lot and said grab your keys old man and lets find out. So we agreed to only do a 2wd race to make it fair and lined up on the access road to the highway and took off.

I eased into it trying not to waste two brand new tires while he was spinning and he caught traction and started to go ahead of me, well fawk that so I hammered down broke em loose and once they caught he was about a half a car length ahead of me. That quickly changed as I proceeded to have at least two car lengths on him up until about 75-80, he then paced me and started pulling on me when we hit about 90 and we both left off. When we turned around to go back to base he wanted to start at a roll about 15mph, so gladly I did that. He about instantly had traction and I spun for a second or so before I hooked up and once again started pulling on him pretty good. until about 90 or so but this time it didnt appear he was gaining on me when I let off.

When we got back to base he was just drooling over my truck and hadnt ever seen a diesel run like that before. I told him hes lucky I didnt have my 155's installed yet but it was good morale for everyone
