Got Killed
Ok well I was at my buddies house. This guy shows up has an 04 6.0L with the Bully Dog Triple play programmer. Well a few beers and some trash talking. The next thing you know we are in my buddies field hooking the trucks together. We did best out of 3. Well pull 1 my hubs didn't lock in and he pulled me like I was a ranger. Pull 2 we were equal locked and spinning four tires like nothing. Until my engine stalls
, then he pulls me away. So pull 3. Starts off like pull 2. Needless to say we both decided to call pull 3 a draw. So yes he got me the first two pulls but pull three after I got my act together was a draw. Now the set ups, His truck 04 6.0L extended cab 4x4 long box. Mods Bully Dog triple play programmer. My truck 02 7.3L crew cab 4x4 short box. Mods, tymar intake, 4 inch straightpipe, ts 6pos chip, gauges, waste gate disconnect, and map fooler. So if anyone was wondering if a basically stock 6.0L and a 7.3L that has the basic mods would ever hook up together what would be the outcome. Well now you know. |

Tug-of-War contests really don't measure horsepower.
They are more about traction, weight, hitch height, and driving ability. A heavier truck will almost always win. An automatic will generally win over a manual. A truck with a higher hooking point will generally win. Other than that, in my opinion, it's just a good way to tear things up. |

Even in a drag race accross the field we were pretty much equal the whole way. We were so close that no one could really tell who won that race. How ever the TS 6 pos did put out more smoke then the Bully Dog programmer.

Ya. Never been much for a pullin contest. Best traction usually wins... Good ol' fashion "line em up" style is better IMO. Sounds like you had some good competition though!
