Banks and Duramax.

Well I'm on my hands free driving down rt 1 in Delaware and the ole' stereotypical LB7 GM with a big banks sticker over the Duramax sign starts blowing smoke in my face. I've never seen a stereotypical truck like this, one that is so often described in kill stories on here, but now I finally have. He's lifted and looks like he's running some fat 36's, or maybe 37's. It's a crew cab, short bed just like mine though. I thought hellllz yeah, I'm about to walk this bad boy... then I remembered my code was on (SES light) and I put my tail between my legs and acted like I didn't see the smoke he kept blowing at me. I think this was one programmed Dmax I could have taken if my code was off.

Even with just banks stuff he'd of smoked me on stock tires. It was the big fat 36's or 37's that gave me the upper hand LOL.

So as far as speed goes it is bigger tires that give you more speed?

the bigger tires can help but to big will kill speed, you need to change the gearing for the bigger ones and since the Duramax only comes with 373 gears the best size for it is a 32" thru 35" and anything over that you start beating a dead horse...
