Raced a hemi today in my 6.0...

It was my friends 2008 dodge ram 1500 hemi with a tune on it, vs my pretty much stock 2003 6.0(I have a straight pipe). I put mine in 4wd and boosted off the line. I had him until about 35-40mph then he pulled ahead. I was expecting him to kill me though since my truck was way heavier. Im just happy i could keep up.What do you guys think would happen if I had a moderate sct tune on? Would it hurt my truck?

na sct is pretty much the best not only does it tune your engine but also your transmission too. i have a 6.0 sittin on 37s with 5in exhaust and i run sct and i have walked everything i have went up against. but if you have custom tunes or run it hard its best if its studded and deleted.

I'm studded and runnin' Vivians Looney tune. Not the Looney wild mind you. My brother has an 06 Dodge Crew cab 2wd w/ Hemi, tuned, free flow exhaust and K&N. I can walk away and leave him like he was drivin' a friggin' Pinto while still gettin' 7-10 mpgs better. The Hemi's are totally over rated. I raced a 4x4 Hemi ex cab once while towing about 4k worth of yard equipment and trailer and pulled him till' he let out around 80mph. He musta been really embarrassed since there was a HOT little blonde in the front seat next to him.
