so i went to chestertown maryland for the dirt drags last friday. not sure if anyone posted this already, but it was a very small event. i entered my truck being as i was excited since it just got some power adders. 150ft. sprint drags. so here it goes there was about 35 trucks once you lose your out but you get one buy back to get in again.
1st race- older cummins flat bed with stacks and banks emblems- appears he broke down at the green light and i knocked him out.
2nd race stock 4door 6.0 king ranch- knocked him out
3rd race- rg cab 6.0 bullydog, mud tires obvious suspension work- dead even but they call him the winner, audience thought i won, i bought back in.
4th race- stock looking duramax, street radial stock looking exaust pipe, but it screamed. to close to call again but they called him the winner, audience told me whe i got back that it looked like i had him. the event managers/refs were all big duramax fans telling the ford guy to just go home all night, lol.
i was running my stock tires aired down. presure was all messed up because i was using a 2 dollar 7-11 gauge. i wasnt really prepared since i got there late, i was a little nervous, 1st time racing. i was running the looney tune and launching at 20 psi with some traction problems but not too bad. i thought i did pretty good and was very impressed with the truck, as well as the audience. i got alot of compliments. one of the smokiest truck there i was told.
i didnt see any newer cummins only a couple older ones. its was mostly 6.0's and duramaxs. the winner was a reg cab 6.0 running a sct and mud tires, woo hoo!
