dang beemers

got killed by a bmw 550i. I was crusing along out on I70 in western ks when all of a sudden i had this sweet looking- brand new bmw riding my azz . Im passing a few cars and running 75mph so i give him a nice puff before i pulled over in the slow lane. He pulls up next to me and hammers down, puting at least 5-6 car lengths on me before the turbo lit. Since the engine had less than 300 miles on it at the time i left it in my engine break in setting on the chip which has a very low (3300rpm) rev limit. By the time i was holding my own with him the truck hit the rev limiter and he proceeded to put bus lengths on me . With my tires, gears and rpm i was going roughly 120mph and he had to have been 140+. On a better note we did do a fly by on one of those awesome 911 turbos just like the one in Bad Boys, it made my sticker poke out

Aw shucks Luke... he probably weighs half what you do, and you were in break in mode... but he had to get you by running you all the way to the redline!!!

He's probably on a Beemer forum somewhere asking what's wrong with his car. If a OBS diesel Ford can keep up as well as you did.. it had to have hurt his ego!!!

I Got smoked by a 520i they are quick little cars Nothing to be ashamed of.

It would be good luck for most any of the diesel trucks to beat a 550i... You're talking a 3800 lb car with 360 hp and 360 lbs of torque (torque comes in at fairly low 3400)... These cars will MOVE !!!

If we coulda went from 55-60mph and started in 3rd he would have been toast, but in overdrive with that mild program it just took to long to get the turbo lit. Next one i find i'll make sure and put the chip in the sport car molesting mode LOL.
