2006 F250 vs 2001 cummins

my best friend bought an 01 cummins yesterday pretty nice and clean truck... today he came over and i was rippin on him cause his dad has a really fast stroker i thought he would fall in line but i was wrong. anyway his truck has an edge chip 4 inch exhaust and an intake, my truck has a 4 inch exhaust and thats it (til christmas)! anyway we raced on a rural back road a few miles from town 1st from a stop i pulled away on him til 60 or so then he nosed up and couldnt quite get by, then we raced from a roll dong about 25-30 he hit boost and got about half a truck on me til i hit boost then we evened out til about 65 then i pulled about a fender ahead and stayed there til about 90 and we backed off! first race with it since i got it and im glad i got to stay on front of a dodge!

Nice... If you beat him with a stock 6.0 (no tuning) he should be ashamed, very ashamed.

Get a SCT and a Looney/Looney Wild tune... there will be no comparison. I'm still in awe over the transformation in my truck!

I raced a 02 cummins at the track this summer before I got injectors and all. he has a Edge, exhaust and filter. I had a SCT stud safe tune.. .. he ran 16.7 i ran 14.2. I will say he didnt know how to drive it.

16.7 is sloow. Last time i was at the track with my 2000 Cummins, i went 12.43@108. Hopefully now that i have my new king ranch i can yank my gooseneck, drawtite hitch, spare tire and tailgate out of the truck. Plus it doesn't help to run with a full tank of fuel.

I am however building a set of twins for my 6.4 and working on my own dual fueler so it would be interesting to see if i can get this f-350 into the low 12's or (fingers crossed) high 11's.
