My Kill... Sort of...

Okay, so recently, people think my truck is slow for some reason. Last night after church my buddy got next to me in the double turn lanes, and I knew he wanted to go. He drives a 2004 Dodge Ram RC SB with a Hemi and a manual, IIRC. He kept trying to anticipate the light, and left a little early, and I turned at a decent rate of speed (It's kinda hard to turn my 7500 lb truck) and he cut off the other turn lanes (they were empty) on the road we were turning out. So he got the jump, but that was it. Once I got a straight road in front of me, it was done. I put the pedal down about 3/4 of the way and walked him till 60 and I had about 3 lengths on him. He was ashamed, but he came out of his truck when we stopped to eat bragging about how fast my truck was.

Had another kill, last week, had a 4 Runner () wanna go, and I put the pedal down half way and left my exhaust pipe right in his window. He said he had to back off cuz it was too loud! Then I put it to the floor just to make sure everyone knew that my truck wasn't really that slow.

Well we only exceeded the speed limit by 5 MPH, and I stayed in my lane the entire time. Heck, my mother drives more than 5 over most of the time.

And yeah, I figured somebody would say something about church, but yeah, we are a bunch of truck loving guys who just like to have fun every once in a while. And we just happen to be all together one night after church. It was pretty late, hardly anyone on this road, and it was begging for a little action. Neither one of us spun tires (even though it is hard for me not to).

Same here, most of the nice sports cars around here are driven by elderly men.
