A few kills not in the dually

My mom has a 03 infiniti g35 and the only mod is a 3" stainless cutback. Well my buddy has a 04 cummins with a smarty jr. And a goerand trans. Along with some other mods. Well let's just say even with him doing boosted 4wd launches he couldn't hang lol I pulled him bad both times.

yes way faster than a cobra...... LMAO no, not faster than a cobra... but fast enough to out run my buddys truck. the car runs 9.2's in the 1/8" mile we are pretty even from a dead stop until about 60 then i start to pull away from him.

hmmm ive seen the car just never thought they would be fast.. you have opened my eyes dont want to steal the thread but i raced an 03 cobra red light to red light and we had nothing for each other if he could shift he would have me by a car but his bad shifting kept us even me maybe a bumper fender ahead... he would def get me in the higher gears..
whats engine is in a G35?

you must have alot of goodies because a 03 cobra should yank you from a red light/roll whatever unless he was a horrible driver LOL the g35s have the vq35 engine which is the same as the nissan 350z. its no super powerhouse but its got alot of tourqe and with the exhaust it seems to have more pep on top end... i havnt had that many races in the car(after all it is my moms LOL) but i have raced a pretty much "stock" ls1 camaro and he pulled me by 2-3 cars and a few hondas a civic with a b20 vtec swap was the closest and we raced from a roll and i put about car and half on him

well i stayed with that cobra with a tuner.. exhaust, cold air intake and a tranny tune
i had a 4x4 boosted launch and the only way id get him is from a stop i wouldnt dare try him from a roll
diesels are alot faster from a dig than already rollin

Yea I gotta go with lowdown on this, I am a Cummins guy but no way a 5.9 or 6.7 with basic bolt ons could hang with a 03 cobra. Maybe you could get kinda close but an 03 is when they came with a supercharger. It may have been an 04 because they were N/A. I ran an '04 KenneBell S/C Rouch in my old 5.9 and I kept up pretty well from a 50-135, his rear bumper was prlly right at my front tire.

i know all about boosted launches, i do own a diesel ya know LOL im just say even a stock 03 cobra with a good driver should be able to pull ya but if he shifts like you say he was i can see how it would be a close race. i have a few decent mods to my 7.3 and i yanked a guy in a 6 speed LT1 camaro up to about 60-70 mph 3 times in a row we did it once from a 30mph roll and i still pulled away from him, my EGTS go up real quick tho so i cant run more than a 1/8 mile or so without peddling it
