killed a few at the drag strip

So my local drag strip is having their first diesel event this weekend. Last night was test and tune and today is the class races and dyno competition. So any way I went last night just to have some fun. My second pass of the night I was up against a fox body 5.0 mustang. I got the hole shot put he cough up to me and got me by .2. After the race he came up to me and said wow! I wasnt expecting that! Next I got to talking to some guys who wanted to look at my truck and one of their buddies with a Dmax showed up and they tell him he has to race me and tell him my truck is stock and it runs a 22 So we line up and the guy didnt know how to stage (now I feel bad) any way we go and I KILL him I ran a 14.2 he ran a 16.7 apparently his is stock. Next there were a couple of dodges. One was a 02 24v with edge and intake. He ran a 17.1. I thought it would be faster than that his buddy had a dully with a superchip and it ran a 19!! The only truck that was close to me was a chevy 2500 gasser that ran a 14.7 all in all i won a trophy for fastest diesel that night. It was fun. With all the talk about keep it off the street I thought I would share my track story.

Yeah im really happy with it. But all I could do is 14.27 last night. My best is 14.0, but I think is because I didnt unload my tool box and some other stuff.

dont do a burn out, if its possible go around the water box. stop on the pre stage and boost your truck to all your brakes can handle then creep up to the stage wile still boosted and go on the 3rd yellow and hold on!!! stay on it until after you think you went past the 1/4 marker. First time i went I let off before the boxes and went 14.5 but only 85 mpg

i took mine down the strip the 2nd week i had it, got my a$$ kicked by a chevy 1500 that had a good bit done to it, a single cab 24v 5.9 dodge barely got me, my first run was in 2wd and i spun literally half the track lol 4wd did much better

i have a manual tranny so any tips on taking off anyone?
