I was running one of buddies in my truck, see my sig, nothing. He's got a 2004 6.0 with 35's and extended cab with a intake, exhaust and Bully Dog Triple Dog downloader. We started at about 30mph and ran until I shut off, about 100. I was able to hang with him all the way until we got about 80 and then he left me in the dust. I gotta get a programmer for this thing. I was just surprised that I was able to hang with him this long.

Get an SCT with some nice custom tunes and you'll smoke his @ss next time.

bully dog is junk, which is why you probably hung with him. Plus no telling what tune he had it on.
I'm sure his truck was shifting all over the place and was confused as well. I had the bullydog and the trans hated it. Never wanted to shift at the right time. My buddy has the Edge, he likes it for the added power and for towing, but if he puts it on any setting higher than 4, it wont shift either. These trucks HAVE to have trans tuning. Its funny because my buddy is always trying to get me to race people in my truck and not his because he knows his wont shift.

When I had bullydog on my 7.3 it would hold out 3rd gear until the truck was screaming and then slam into 4th. Horrible.

Do like clay said and get you a custom tuned sct....and hold on

That's what I plan on doing as soon as my warranty runs out, got till December, then it's on

Id get my headgaskets checked by the dealer before then to make sure everything is ok

Get an SCT now and just return it to stock if you need warranty work done. That way you can more than likely get studs under warranty.

Can't they trace the programmer? I know on Dodges that they could tell if you had one, even if you took it back to stock.
