me vs. vortecMAX

Not sure if you could really call this a kill or not, but here's how it went down: We both are on the freeway, he's in a 08 or 09 Chevy with the vortecMAX. I don't know if he had a tuner in it, but if he wanted it to run like it looks, he did. He had exhaust for sure. Anyway, he's playing with me a little, so I hop over behind him - we are cruising at about 65 and after a time he punches it. I punched it right after him, but he got the jump, and was pulling away slow. By about 80, I started catching up - I don't know how fast we got to, but we stayed in the throttle for awhile after the speedo pegged. I rode his bumper for a little bit then we got out of it. He moved over a lane, and slowed down so I could get beside him. As I eased up there, he started hitting the throttle like he wanted to run again, so when we evened out, we hit it again. Starting at about 75 this time, I pulled on him real slow until I was a truck length and a half or so ahead, then we had to let off again. That's the first time I've ever stretched my truck out on the top end like that against anyone, so I was impressed that it ran like that - especially against a truck with that engine - I've been in a couple, they're pretty quick!

Nice kill. If you were at or above 100mph he had a tuner they shut down at 93-98mph stock. Next time tap the brake. If your in a race tune. It will momentarily unlock the converter and spool the turbo. Then when it lock back up roll it to the floor. Mine will flat get with the tc locked and the turbo spooled. I have no idea how fast it will actually go it can get squirly when your pretty far past the 100mph mark.

I've had it up to 126 before according to a GPS and was still pulling - just ran out of road. That's crazy fast for such a heavy truck...
