7.3 takes 6.0.....something wrong?
okay so yesterday(sat) I raced my buddy in his 05 6.0....as far as I know all he has is a sct and aftermarket intake...and mabe did something to his egr. his truck is a supercab dually with a flatbed on it. the only thing ive done to my 7.3 is the tymar and a dp tuner on the 120race setting. he said his chip was set at 100+ something. anyway we line up, and im sure im about to get killed so....three honks and a boost launch and right away i jump a truck length ahead and stay there to 60. WHAT? Is there something wrong with his truck? I thought a sct 6.0 was supposed to kill a dp 7.3. or can my ole 7.3 really take a 6.0? Thanks for lookin guys!

It can't. He probably just has around 3,000 pounds on you.

If he just had canned tunes on his SCT, you cant really expect much. Plus he outweighs you by a good bit

true...he does weigh more than me...f350 vs f250 plus his heavy flat bed. still felt good though! wish id have taken a vid. just wish it would have been a dodge....I dont like 2 pick on fellow fordshttp://www.powerstroke.org/forum/images/smilies/smile.gif

My quad cab 05 weighed about 7700lbs with me in it and a tool box. It was fairly quick with the SCT livewire 120HP tune on it. Not exactly sure what it would run but it did surprise a many ricers and normal cars. Nice kill by the way.

His turbo was probably sticking
. or his egr valve was sticking . Oh wait why am I making up bogus excuses for him.
