last week at the trucks gone wild tug o war they hooked up a 95 cummins extended cab 2500 sittin on 2 and a half ton axles and 48 in tractor tires. the truck apparrently had a monster torque plate and monster injectors. it looked like a rollin coal fire. the other truck was an 01 powerstroke with the same axles and tires. the p stroke had jobe intercooler sticking out of the hood, sniper tuner, and a turbo. they hooked them up the cummins blew smoke a least 100 feet in the air the powerstroke just held the brakes and waited till the time was right and nailed it pulled the cummins right off the pad in a cloud of smoke. needless to say my cummins buddy wasnt to happy he was out 100 bucks and he had to here about it all the way home. try to post some pics of the trucks hooked up
Ok I'm still new to this but I thought holding the brakes at the start was kind of like cheating? It was my understanding that when playing tug of war there is an agreement that nobody holds the brakes, you just go. I may be wrong though. There may be no rule at all.
it was the best 2 out of 3 pull the first time the p stroke held the brake the second time the light came on and the powerstroke floored it and nearly pulled the dodge through the fence. you had to be there. the pstroke wasnt even budged by the cummins. there might be pics on trucks gone wild web site.
A quick 16 is the 16 cars with the low et's of time trials. Our track here usually has 8 door cars and 8 rails. It's been a while since I raced, but I think they even run a seperate bracket for the quick 16 too. If you're real lucky, you win your class and the quick 16 for a nice payout at the end of the night.
