The 3 Idiot Dodges

Ok this isn't a kill story as much as it's a rant. I was driving home from work on I-70, it had been raining but quit, and now it was just barely sprinkling. So I'm motoring up the left lane about 65 w/ traffic next thing I know I'm going 40. So after going 40 for at least 3 miles people start to pass on the right, so I do the same. I get up the front of the line and we get to:

Idiot Dodge number 1: Brand new 3500 cummins DRW. I glared at the two slack-jawed rednecks in the cab who deemed it was quite ok to drive 40 in the fast lane and hold up traffic for miles. I gave them a quick jab of the throttle to show my dis-appreciation but then I was on my way.

I get about 5 or 6 miles down the road staying w/ traffic going 65 to 70 when again...I'm down to 40 or 45...passing on the right convenes again. I get up to the front of the line and who do I see?:

Idiot Dodge number 2: New Single cab long bed Hemi 2500. This time it wasn't rednecks, it was a suit and tie guy chatting on the cellphone and not paying attention to a freakin' thing going on around him. I slowed down and got his attention and motioned w/ my hand "go moron go!!" He actually realized what he was doing and got over. I went on my way.

I get about 5 more miles up the road..same gig..45 in the fast lane. I catch up and find Idiot dodge number 3..all I know is that it was a red crew cab cause I was floor-boarding it past him and blaring on the horn.

At this point I was beginning to wonder why all these Dodges were going 40 mph when all other traffic was going 70...was it ego?...was it lack of motivation?...chances are it was probably just coincidence but it was infuriating none-the-less. However all of them got redeemed just a few mins later when I saw a late 90's dodge w/ stacks lighting them up and blowing smoke all over the place out of a truck stop. Don't get me wrong I'm not cutting on Dodge, it was just freakin' WEIRD that 3 of them all in the same stretch of highway were driving like dorks, they must have planned it and were having a laugh or something.

A suit in a truck with a cell phone.... Too bad you couldn't tell him to get one of those "soccer mom" SUVs so he would fit in with his style of driving ... You know, those big SUVs with the woman chatting on the cell phone while yelling at the 8 kids that are in the back and not paying ONE ounce of attention to her driving....

Seems some people forget that once they get behind the wheel there is only ONE thing going on, THEY'RE DRIVING, PAY ATTENTION!!!!

Ken.....

That is what Westin grille guards are for.

Oh, and not all idiots drive slow in Dodges in the fast lane. Both of mine are pretty quick and are able to drive in either lanes.

Would be nice if you could punt bad drivers off the road for the good of society. I have seen truck drivers put bad drivers into the grass of the median... it's dangerous though.

I hate slow drivers! Not that I speed cause 90% of the time I do the speed limit but it irritates the crap outta me when people cant even do that! It is pretty wierd that all 3 were dodges though

Yeah exactly..that's what blew my mind..when I saw that 3rd guy..and it was another big Dodge I was like NO WAY!!!!! I was half expecting after that to see a 15 passenger Dodge van full of kids on their way to band camp or something going 20. Nothing would have surprised me at that point.
