A little advice please
Gotta guy with an 01 F-150 Lightning with cold air intake, headers, pulley upgrades for the supercharger and custom tuning. He's starting to run his mouth saying he can out run me at 1/2 to 3/4 throttle and wants to know how many trucks I want. I know I can't out run him on top end but what do you guys think about running from a dig? I'm pretty sure with a boosted launch that I will destroy him and then he has to play catch up. Just wanting to know what you experts think. I'm running a 4" turbo back exhaust and the extreme race file from Innovative Diesel with a little tweaking. I outweigh his truck by approx. 2500 lbs. Give me your thoughts.

Just run him heads up, no lengths and if he keeps wanting you to take some lengths that means he is just looking for a excuse.

I dunno man. Depends on his lower pulley size (4,6,8 pound?). Don't forget that you're not the only one who'll be doing a boosted launch. His biggest problem will be keeping traction. My best friend has a very similar setup in his '02 and with a 4lb lower pulley he hit 452whp or something like that. They're pretty amazing vehicles.

From a dig in a short run you got him.... at least for a little while but he will have to play catch-up. The traction advantage will help you

Well, I don't think it'll be as easy a kill as the mustang you raced earlier. You would have to do a boosted launch, otherwise he'll have the advantage. (since his supercharger always gives him a boosted launch) But as mentioned earlier, his traction may give him issues. (and your extra 2500 lbs might really work for you)
Give it a shot. What's the worst that happens, you get beat by a modded, supercharged Lightening? Though, I gotta say, I'd love to see you spank him the same way you spanked that Mustang. (I love that vid. I watch it every time I want a laugh) mike
