DP Tuner vs. Edge Evolution

so this friend of mine has a 99 psd. ex cab, 4x4. stock tires and no lift, it has a k&n intake, 4" turbo back exhaust no cat. he is running the edge evo on the 100 setting his truck goes very good. i have a 2000 psd 4" lift 315s, 4" cat back exhaust with no cat, 5" tip, k&n intake, dp tuner chip. we had never really run them against each other untill last weekend. i was running my chip on #3 which is my 60hp econo setting, his is on the 100 hp setting. we came to this long hill with a passing lane, and i decided to mess with him alittle. we started up the hill at about 50 mph, i was behind him. i stepped down on it and started closing in quick so i pulled over to the passing lane. he realized i was messing with him and floored it. i pulled even with him till about 95 then he started to pull away slowly. i really thought that he would get me by more than he did. i guess he is lucky i didnt goto the 120 race setting. now he wants a dp tuner. anyone interested in an edge?

I dont think anyone on here would really want one they are kind of branded with the same stink as edge and you should try soem custom tuning too if you think a DP tuner can wake up a truck wait till you try a custom tune

Our standard tunes for stock trucks have been totally customized for shifting and fueling, etc. for you to receive the full potential out of your truck. The 7.3 was extremely de-tuned out of the box from factory. This is why on a stock truck it is capable of holding up to 120 ponies over stock easily with no big mods needed. Gauges, intake, exhaust and your good to go.

well DP is a custom tuner but you have to pay extra to get it custom tuned. They do make generic tunes also. Thats all I was saying.

its not a custom generic tune, it is custom. the only reason that you would have to pay more is if you have more mods to your truck like a bigger turbo or bigger injectors. it is custom
