96 12v vs. stock 06 psd

ok, my buddy has a 96 2500 ex cab with (i think) a 12v, 24v is only 98+ right? anyways, the only real mod done to it is a quadzilla tuner and a hacked up exhaust. stock tranny, 100+ thousand miles, and big wheels.

my truck is just an 06 reg cab with 5" turbo-back, otherwise its stock.

he keeps saying he wants to race and ive been telling him i will but he keeps backing out with dumb excuses last second. if/when i finally get to run him how do you guys think it will end up?

12v do not have the electronics and computers that the newer engines do. therefore you cannot do electrinic forms of tuning with them. The 24v was not manufactured in 96. Somewhere your gettin false information

If those are the original mirrors from factory it is a 24v cuz the 12v came with chrome mirrors from 94-97. THe only sure way to know when be to look at the engine itself or the badges on the door
