Stock 6.0's rated at 325 at the flywheel. Actual RWHP on a dyno is around 250. A custom tuned SCT race file will get you between 400-425 RWHP, depending on the trucks strategy and supporting mods.

The 2nd gen. (98.2-02) 24valves only have 215hp at the crank. He could be making some good power with the stacked tuners, but there is no way he is going to be able to put it to the ground through the stock tranny. If he had a built trans I would be a little worried, but if its stock you shouldnt have a problem

With stacked chips on a 24v say edge comp and smarty you typically make around 350 or so

Stacking the Edge and Smarty isn't going to gain anything but too much timing if the programs are used together. The Edge could be used for gauges, but the J/A does most of what the Smarty does performance wise on a VP truck, so there isn't really a gain there. Stacking a TST powermax with the Smarty or Edge on a VP truck will work, but not Smarty & Edge. If he is using the J/A for gauges only then the Smarty is just a fancy code reader with the ability to change tire sizes and max speed.

Im not talking about a juice with attitude Im talking about an edge comp which you can stack with a smarty if you do just timing on the smarty
