Older style Blazer

I was leaving from the UFC fight saturday night with a few buddies and my buddy got next to me in his Blazer. I can't recall the year off the top of my head, but it's somewhere in the 70s or 80s. It's sweet with 35s and a 6 inch lift, rebuilt trans and rebuilt 350 and everything else from the bare frame. He is also running 4.10s.

So pulled up at a red light and should of power braked but didn't b/c I was talking to him. I hit it and he hit it. Next thing I know I'm boosting up and hit 2nd, then 3rd gear and had him by a couple of lengths then I let off. It was was fun. Surprised at how quick he got off the line though.

yeah those old blazers usually came with 350s or 305s. some people swap 454s in them. There are a few thatwere diesel. I forgot the size but i think they were non turbo diesels. they werent fast by any means. My boss has a 86 suburban with a diesel. has a ton of miles but it still runs.
