since you got it started i guess you dont need any more suggestions! i change roughly 2 fuel filters a month on our Duramaxs so i have done it a few times and the best way to do it is,for starters change the fuel filter and then when you prime it you'll notice in front of the alternator there is fuel line bleeder after the fuel filter housing with a black plastic cap thats screwed on it(looks very similar to a AC bleeder).as you manualy pump it up with the pump on the filter housing use a small screw driver and release the pressure and your good to go in seconds! |

Completely off topic, but related to this suggestion, we had an E99 7.3 and that was suggested to me, we had the intake piping removed and I was holding the rag over the intake tube after the intercooler, frikkin truck barked back and caught me and the truck on fire! No damages, but it was kinda funny afterward! (just remember to be careful) |
