stepping down

Not that it really means much, but I wanted to make an official post that I am stepping down as the western director or the KCR's. Hopefully someone else can pick up the ball and run with it.Good Luck.

Oh I thought this was about you thinking about a ranger lol

But I wanna see where this goes. For what its worth I think you did a good job with it all things considered. We just dont have many people and those we do have seem to have rather hectic schedules to be able to do much

Thanks Joe, Ya, everyone wants to be part of the group, but no one has time to GTG. It's a catch 22

Well this little thing called life gets in the way. A bigger issue Ive noticed is that not all of us are into the same things as hobbys. Yes diesels unite us and thats fun but other than a parking lot G2G we dont all do the same stuff. I know camping has been discussed and it seems the majority are into that idea. But also 4 wheeler rides have been talked about to no avail. You really did have a tough role to unite people based on a common interest yet the interest lies for different reasons. I hate to say this but KCR may be a dying breed.

CPA (Carolina Powerstroke Assoc.) has had and will have some of the same issues. Grown men and women with businesses, jobs, families, other hobbies, high fuel prices, slick tires, etc. can't always make the G2Gs. I know I can't. There will always be some who don't work or have more control of their time that don't understand the responsibilities some of us have that are more important than a G2G. We are often "called out" when we can't make it. I say set a date, time and place. Leave the food prep (which requires a head count) out of it and hit a good place to eat. Have a relaxed fun time with those that were able to make it. I think when we are not under so much pressure to attend then there will be more attendance. Keep it fun! My $0.02. (Oh and you got to talk bad about the ones that don't show. That is one of the rules, right? )

Now the bad part about thy is. We've set dates and times months ahead of time. And then sent reminders. Only to have 95% of them cancel or not show up on the date.

Which is why I haven't planned any events nor plan on attending any until everyone can get it together. I have one of the most hectic schedules on this side and managed to make most of the g2g's.

Id step in to take Russ' place but I know the enthusiasm isn't there for the group. It would just piss me off.

I'm finding myself agreeing with Garrett.... I was at the last G2G and only him and Graham showed up... While I was new to the group I didn't think much of it, I was actaully disappointed because I was looking forward to meeting up with a lot of the people on here... Guess I joined at the wrong time.... Things have gone to near dead since that last G2G.

It may of sounded like I'm upset, I'm not, I can completely understand that everyone is busy, I'm fortunate to have a steady work schedule that leaves my weekends open. I know most don't have that. Just kinda bummed it didn't work out.
