Pizza Power(stroke) Tour 2011??

I put together a power tour of sorts last year with another car forum I was on, the idea was pretty simple, We pick 8 of the best pizza places in pittsburgh, meet at a parking lot at/near the first location, everyone chips in 20 bucks and we drive to each place, eat 1-2 slices from each place and then move onto the next one

I think the route I did last year was around 50 miles for the day and we ended it with ice cream, would anyone be interested in doing something like that here? I know we have people traveling from everywhere but we had GREAT turnout for this, ~20 cars came out, I'm sure the parking would be a bit different with all the trucks

After it was all said and done, I think we were able to refund 8 or 9 dollars back to each person as we didn't use the whole 20 bucks

for reference, this was the post I made on the local board:

Quote:
The concept is simple, 1 day, 8 pizza locations around pittsburgh hand chosen for they're amazing pizza and a whole bunch of rumbling cars cruising the streets of pittsburgh. All cars/bikes are welcome, each place has parking for everyone so no need to worry about that.

The 8 Pizza Places for this year are:

Pizza Italia - Bloomfield (parking at shop n save in bloomfield)
Antoons Pizza - Oakland (parking in schenley park)
Mineo's Pizza - Squirrel Hill (parking at Giant Eagle Squirrel Hill) Mineos Website
Aiello's Pizza - Squirrel Hill (parking at Giant Eagle Squirrel Hill)Aiellos Website
Vincents Pizza Park - Turtle Creek (parking in their parking lot)Vincents Website
Beto's Pizza - Mt Lebo (parking at their lot on banksville road)
Doughboys Pizza - Mckees Rocks (parking in the lot by crivelli chevrolet)Doughboys website
Sir Pizza - Wexford (parking in their parking lot)

the total trip is 46.7 miles, when we finish the day at Sir Pizza, soergels farm and brusters ice cream are across the street, if you're still hungry for more.

The plan is for everyone to chip in 20 bucks, with this money we will buy pizza's at each location and once we're done if there is money leftover, we'll split it up and give it back.

We will meet at 11am in Squirrel Hill at the Giant Eagle Parking Lot:

1901 Murray Avenue
Pittsburgh, PA 15217
Now, I'm not saying we do this again, but we could tailor something like it for us, wings, hot dogs, burgers etc have all been suggested.

FYI, Mineo's was deemed a unanimous winner at this event

If you want to add one to the list I recommend stoping at the trolley stop inn loacated in bethel park, pa. Great pizza there and their other food is good too and inexpensive as well.
