Central KY October 2007 Meet and Greet Results
Well... we did it.
The first ever Central Kentucky Meet and Greet is in the books.. and I have to say I call it a success. With only 5 days notice, and almost no planning, I was very happy with the results, and the attendance. Myself and JohnO convoyed (if you can call two trucks a convoy) from Versailles to Richmond Road. Once there we met up with Cowboymafia (Chris) and his girlfriend, bmiller2000 (Brandon or Bubba), and tech10002 (Chad). After everyone was introduced, a few pictures were taken, and we'd talked a little about our trucks... we proceeded inside for some eats. After eating, we spent some more time talking over trucks. We were also joined by a goat (a friend of Chris's in a Dodge Megacab). As I was leaving, I met KingRanchKY (Hyter). He was in the area, and had swung by on the chance of catching us still there. Things were breaking up at that point, and we all headed on our seperate ways. John and Chad have pictures... and I'll get the ones I took posted up as soon as I get the film developed. It wasn't anything big or elaborate by any means...but it was fun, and hopefully will be the first of many more to come. |

Okay, okay. So I'm moving kinda slow, us OF's tend to be that way. Remember the young bull and the old bull story.
Here we are in Versailles: ![]() And here's the well stocked parking lot at Hooter's: ![]() Chris, your girlfriend has the right attitude. I didn't even bother asking my wife to come hang out at Hooter's with a bunch of truck guys. I know what she would have said. Chad, you got me in trouble. After seeing your audio setup, I went home and ordered up a Pioneer D3, ipod adapter, and steering wheel adapter. Came to about $780 on amazon. I was about to buy one anyway, seeing yours convinced me. Darn credit cards make buying too easy, the human self control was never designed for that sort of temptation. Who makes that license plate camera? I like that - hides the camera, and keeps the tailgate from bashing those standup models. How did you run the video cable back up to the cab, more specifically, how did you get it from the outside to the inside and keep things sealed up? I probably want to replace front and rear speakers as well - what size are they? Yep, I'm a gadget junkie - occupational hazard of being a software developer. Here's my toys website, soon to have an F350 page added: John's Hobby Site There's a link to my smallbore shooting page on the black powder page, including a bullet test that was very interesting. I don't own most of those guns any more, but I sure had fun with them. Don't give me a hard time about the bicycles - go on a 30 mile ride behind a couple of ladies in tight lycra outfits, and you'll see why I like doing this. Anyway, it was great to put faces to the online names. We got to do this again, when the weather is better. Might have to look into a tuner next year. Right now, it's improve the sound system and replace the tires. If I need more power, it's to drag a bigger tree (got a bunch of oak trees down on hillsides on my farm, want to saw them into lumber), and as of now, the tires are the limiting factor. |
