I'd like to come. I live north of Nashville, but grew up just north of Frankfort, KY. Most all of my family lives in your area. Can't make this one though. The reason I'm home all week is because I have 2nd degree burns from my knees down on both legs. Very painful. The Dr. & wife won't let me drive that far rite now.

Dave... very sorry to hear about those burns. How did that happen?

Hope you are recovering quickly.

Don't worry about the meet... if I can help it there will be more.

You should have gotten a PM from me about it, but I'll outline it again.

For those who it's convenient for, there will be a caravan leaving KMart in Versailles. I plan to be there by 10.. and would like to get the caravan rolling at 10:30.

I project that will put us at Hooters between 11:00 and 11:30... so that's the meet up time for all others (at Hooters on Richmond Road).

This is a totally informal meet. Very little (other than the start times) is scheduled. Once we are at Hooters.. things can go whatever direction we decide. I figured we would probably spend some time shaking hands, meeting each other, and checking out rides... then head inside for lunch.

After eating.. back outside (weater permitting for more chat, etc. Or the festivities can move on to another venue if anyone has ideas.

Thanks guys. Idiot me grabbed the wrong jug and poured 4 gallons of gas on a brush pile instead of diesel. You'd think I would smell the difference, but nooooo. I was just in too big of a hurry. Needless to stay that it was quite an explosion. It looks like a plane crash site in our field! Good thing my wife is a Critical Care Nurse.

Y'all have fun at the gathering. I wish you'd had it last weekend. I was just up there at my Mothers in Frankfort.

Dave.. this is the first.. but I plan to do everything I can to make sure it's not the last.

Don't worry that you are missing this one... you can catch us next time. Just get yourself healed up!!

I kinda did the same thing one time. Was feeding a brush fire with mix gas... trying to just get some on the outskirts and areas that weren't burning yet.... well I splashed some too close, and it back tracked to the jug!!! I threw it on the fire, let it melt through, and it dumped close to 5 gallons on the flames. I didn't get hurt, but had one heck of a big blaze going for a while. Wasn't much left of the brush pile when it was done!!!

Thanks Aaron. Exactly what part of the great big blue area do you live at? I've had bad experiences with fire before. You'd think I would learn, but noooo. My wife has now hid all the lighters and matches, LOL.

The nova group I'm in has one big gathering every year. We try to have it at a different place every year, but keep it centrally located it the US (KY, TN, IN, IL, MO, etc). It's a Wed thru Sun. deal, but some people show up and leave at different times. Sometimes we rent a local track out, and other times we just race with their regular weekend program. Lot's of other activities too.
