Hi everyone

I'm to to Powerstroke.org just ecide to try and interduce my self. I'm Eddie Wise Ilive in Brandywine, MD and drive a '97, Powertroke, 8ft bed, extended cab, and love this truck.

Does anyone know how I can check if my y-pipe is leaking and does it have a lot of oil in it? I mean enuff oil to pool in the intake valley?

Do you mean the exhaust Y or the intake Y? Try posting youre second question in the 7.3 problem forum.

Welcome. There are a few of us here on the site in MD....Marty (Maintain), myself, and a few others....also some up in Delaware. beepbeepbeepbeep Dude!!! Your WAY down south.

On a side note...there is a pretty big Diesel Day on the 11th of AUG up at Cecil County Dragway. Do a search for it. I think just about EVERYONE in a 200 mile+ radius is attending!!!

Welcome to the site Powerlifter, glad you joined up. The y pipe on the top of the mtr, nearer the firewall has 2 red boots on it. Check to see if they are tight, or cracked. there will be a little oil in them from the ccv ( crank Case Vent ) that runs into the inter cooler tube. By oil, do you mean engine oil or diesel oil.
