newbie

hows it goin I have been a chevy guy my whole life my first pick up is a 1957 chev half tone short box Ive been restoring it since i was eleven. Anyhoo I have a deal on a 96 3/4 ton 4x4 extended cab with a diesel in it the guy told me it needs a clutch brakes and a driveline if I want it come get it its got over 200000 miles I was just wondering what has been the major problems ou guys have had with these rigs. This is my second chance for a ford I had a 77 hiboy for about a year and spent more money on it than it was worth. the reason i ask about the rig is I am in Wa. and the truck is in texas. and I want to know if I go to the effort to get this thing and fix it up will it be worth it. Keep the shiney side up

Sound good to me, the engine is good for many more miles if taken care of. If not you could part it out.

Welcom To Powerstroke.org. I'm Also New To This "ford"thing As I Have Been A Chevy Man My Whole Life. Sound Like A Good Deal On That 96 If It's Not Beat All To Hell. Those Truck Seem To Hold Their Value Well. I Just Purchased A 95 Stroker And So Far It Has Been A Good Truck(knock On Wood...lol). Good Luck With It And Keep It Between The Ditches.
