Hello from SW Pa.

Hello, My name is Scott. I used to be a Ford tech. About 15 years ago I went out on my own and opened up a transmission shop. Married, no kids. I have an '02 F250 4x4 EC SB AT with a 7.3 with 55k miles. Its stock except for a TW chip that will be here monday. I am Ford all the way here, have 2 Focus's (wishing they would bring the turbo diesel Focus's over here) a '61 Falcon, '62 Falcon 2 door wagon and a '62 Falcon Ranchero. Also have an old REO F50 road tractor with a gasser in it that I am going to re-power with a diesel. Am going to use this to haul my antique tratctors to shows with. I have 19 tractors now, mostly 2 cyl JD's. Even have 2 two cylinder diesels, a 1953 JD R and a 1960 JD 830. The 830 is stock but the R has had the fuel system boosted. It puts flame out the pipe under load. Also collect watches and antique pre WW2 radios.
I am a member of the local Lions Club and am in chagre of our antique tractor show we have here.
Just wanted to say hi and hope to learn lots of great info from you guys. Thanks for having me here. Scott

Broken ZF-6 Transmission At Mount !
Hello, To be honest, I only do automatics. I used to see that on the E4OD's when they still used a cast aluminum extension housing. That was a simple fix. Since they changed over to a cast iron housing, I havent seen the breakage. I havent seen a 6 speed ZF yet, if its like the 5 speed the trans will have to come apart and the rear half of the case replaced. Thats if i remember right, its been about 16 years since I had my hands on a ZF.
