I'm in the market for a diesel truck, I work for a landscaping company and we have all brands except chevy, 4 fords but there gas not diesel and 2 dodge diesels, I have a car and someone wants to trade me their 2003 ford f-250 super duty crew cab 6.0 powerstroke diesel 91k miles,4x4, lariat, loaded power everything, leather, all that truck for $17,000, Is it a good buy? I don't know too much history on the truck, I know it has new brakes and new tires, i've read about the 6.0 woes and of course everyone at work says buy a dodge, but if i tried to find a similar dodge cummins id be paying $20k+, so weigh in folks

Welcome to the Org bud... that doesnt seem to be a bad price but get an Oasis report on it to make sure it hasnt had any major problems

Do I have to go to a dealer to pull a oasis report? Any things to look out for when I test drive it? I've heard of the EGR problems and I have a heavy foot which i've read the harder you work the engine and the less you idle it the better

Welcome to the .ORG!!! X2 on the oasis, any dealer should be able to pull that for ya!! Next if you plan on purchasing this rig u might as well look into doing an EGR Delete! That will save you in the long run with your HG's, then just the normal mods(exhaust, gauges, tuner, & possibly studs). That's a good price on that truck! If ya could get it for 14,500 it would be a steal!!!

It doesn't have clearence lights, which i love the look of, whered you get yours? Also the truck has the same color combo as yours, same options, hopefully getting it soon

I got a oasis report today, it had 2 service repairs,
"water light is on when driving" and it was serviced June 19th 2004 and "Exhaust system noisy" repaired 11-07-2005, Doesn't look like it has issues, i've yet to drive it though which is the only true factor in determining if i like it enough to pull the trigger, so do those service things mean any major problems? Will i have problems with it in the future

New to the forum. First time diesel truck owner.
I just picked up a new 2008 F250 4X4 with 6.4 PSD.
I LOVE this truck. I have had many Ford trucks over the years but this is the cream of the crop for me. I will be using it to tow horses around the country to give them the oppertunity to buck us off in new locations so it does not get toboring for them. I also fish a lot and it will be pulling my Lund fishing boat from time to time. Not sure I needed this beast but the price was right and it's RED!
