Green bean from N.H.
Hello I'm a newbie here and have an 03 F-350 Lariat crew cab 6.0 diesel.
I've been reading this forum for 2 months now and finally joined I am new to diesels and loving everything about them, so hopefully I can learn more. Just installed my first upgrade, a 4" turbo back MBRP w/ stock cat, hoping to eliminate it soon, the cat. Then a programmer next. Before this truck I had a 01 F-350 ex cab 5.4 no power so traded.LUV FORD

I'm going to chime in for the gauges. Definately the next mod you should do. That way you're all set up for when you do want to chip your truck. At the very least get yourself an exhaust gas temp and tranny temp gauge. A good set of gauges will run you almost as much as most hand held programmers, but very worth it in the long run. I just bought and installed a quadzilla commander with an A pillar mount, set me back about $380 bucks, but its everything I'll ever need as far as a gauge goes. a pair of analog gauges will be significantly less than that, but I would say that's your bare minimum. Just my 2 cents, but its sound advice...
And.... to powerstroke.org!!! |
