diesel nubi

hey, I'm new to fords and diesels and now that I have both I'm wondering why I waited so long.
My brother in law told me this was THE site for help and info,so if anyone can help with a problem I'm having that would be great.
My 03 6.0 won't build power after 30mph, and when it hits 2nd,won't build rpm above 2ooo.
A ford dealer mechanic buddy thought the fuel migh have geld,and to replace the fuel filters.
gonna try that tomorrow.
any other thoughts?

That's where I'd concentrate, you never know what the previous owner actually did or didn't do. If that doesn't do I I'd look towards the egr. Let us know how it works out,

whenever i buy a new truck gas or diesel even a 4-wheeler i change all fluids and filters unless i know who i bought it off of really good. just a safe bet, you never know how often the previous owner kept up on maintenance
