I stumbled onto this site doing a google search for info on a 2001 powerstroke in on of our company trucks. All of the info I found here was very useful so I decided to join. I am THE mechanic for a commecial roofing company in Austin TX. At the moment we have 4 of the early powerstrokes ranging in years from 1999 to 2001 with milage ranging from 230000 to 350000. We also have 8 2004 F350s with the 6.0 powerstroke with milage ranging from 80000 to 120000. We also have an assortment of gasoline powered F150s and F250s. We also have a couple of truck mounted cranes, 5 rough terrain reach forklifts and a huge assortment of small equipment. Needless to say it is NEVER boring around here. I can assure you, nothing is rooferproof. I also have an extensive (30 year) and varied racing background. Up until 4 years ago when I started working here I made my living working on and building race cars, everything from off road, to circle track (both dirt and asphalt), road race and drag race, and have been to tracks from New York to Calipornia. My personal race car is a 27 T roadster with a 489 inch BBC that should run 9.20s once I get everything sorted out and updated. My daily drivers are an 02 wide glide, an 86 D250, a 94 Suburban. I also get to help my kids keep their cars on the road, a 1980 280zx (which I bought new) and a 1989 S-10 Blazer. While I have never claimed to be an expert in anything given enough time I can usually figure it out and if I cant fix it, I will fix it so nobody can fix it. Thanks for letting me ramble. Wesley
Wesley....Welcome to the forum man...always great to have another motorhead around here....and another racing enthusiest!!! Check out my garage...we even had powerstroke.org stickers on a 360 wingless sprint all summer that i pitted for......Gotta love the smell of methanol on a friday or saterday night
Thanks for the welcome, yeah motor head is right, I got it bad. Methanol is ok, but I prefer the smell of 114 octane race gas, although my favorite is NITRO, but who am I kidding I will never be able to afford anything that runs that.
Thanks to all for your welcomes, I hope to be able to contribute to the forum as well as learn from it. Now if I can just get this dad gum 01 PSD to quit missing life will be good. Anyone have a scanner for the NGS for sale? LOL
:chicken: :welcome1: :welcome1: :welcome1: :chicken: ---Hey Wes, I do all my own work on my vehicles. if you need a hand making somthing not run, and I meen not run real good, call me.
