New guy thinking about a Powerstroke

Should I look for an OBS or Super Duty 7.3? What is better. I have a budget under $20,000 but would love to spend around $10,000 so I have more money to spend on the truck.

Howdy and

even for around 10K you should be able to find a SD with decent miles. If it were me I think I would go OBS. They just look awesome when done right! Really isnt a matter of which is better. the later the model the more power it will have from the factory, but any are easily upgraded...

Welcome to the org!

I personally love the look of an OBS but you could find an SD within in your budget and they are easier to get some more power out of if you just are planning on doing a chip and stuff

I towed a heavy 5th wheel with my 03 Dodge and loved it. I have been without it for almost three years and just need a truck for hauling bikes and stuff. I just love the look of a ford with a bit of a lift on it. I even considered a V10 . One of the thing I really want is a manual. It has been hard to find a good manual truck. Are the autos really all that bad?

no they are not that bad. one of the best things you can do is put in a valve body and convertor and be good for a stock to mildly modded truck.

The manuals are hard to come by...
