Hi I presently have a 2006 F350 and am thinking of buying a 16,000 lbs 5th wheel. I know I can pull this rig ok my question is I was thinking of moving up to a 2009 F350. After all the problems discussed I am not sure if I should make the move. Presently my truck is stock and I get 19 mpg at 70 mph empty.
Thanks Bob: |

IMO unless you plan on deleting the DPF stick with the 06. You will get better mileage towing with the 06 than the 08 if the 08 still has the DPF

08 or 09?
hopefully allthe bugs have been worked out but like dave said, as long as the DPF is on the truck then the mileage is going to stink. |

From the people I've talked to and from what I've read the 6.4 looks like its going to be a pretty decent motor but the EPA stuff is whats causing many people grief.
