Noob to the Powerstroke world
What's going on guys and gals,
I recently picked me up a 2004 6.0 F250 4dr Lariat 4x4. Had 95k on the odometer when I got it. I've been glued to the forums since before getting it trying get a good grasp on the 6.0 and PSD for that matter. I've done a few things to it with more to come as time and funds permit. This is a DD/work truck.
Changed engine oil and filter (T6 w/Archoil 9100 and Motorcarft filter)
Changed fuel filters (Motorcraft)
Changed tranny fluid and filters (Valoline Max Life ATF , Advanced Auto filter and Motorcraft in-line filter)
Changed transfer case fluid (Valoline Max Life ATF)
Changed rear diff gear oil and gasket (Royal Purple 75w150)
Flushed and changed coolant (Peak Final Charge)
Upgraded turbo oil inlet tube (Sinister update kit)
Upgraded turbo drain tube (Sinister update kit)
Removed and cleaned turbo (vanes were stuck open do to rust and corrosion, angle grinder with a steel brush wheel and a Dremal with grinding wheel worked like a charm)
Upgraded Da-gas cap (Sinister update kit)
Upgraded stand pipes and dummy plugs (Sinister update kit)
DIY CCV mod with catch can (took some fine tuning, had a back pressure problem at first) Looks legit and works great!
Scangauge II for monitoring.
...I think that's it so far.
EGR weld delete
4" Turbo back exhaust w/muffler
SCT Livewire (undecided on tunes, not trying to get too crazy don't want to have to do ARP head studs)
Pro Comp 2" Leveling Kit (keeping stock 16" rims, looking at getting a little bit bigger tire than stock though)
Weather Tech digi fit floor mats
...and any ideas are welcome!
